Interior branding – where do I start?

When someone walks in to your building, what do they see? Blank walls? Grumpy receptionist? Ticking clock? Does it make them feel welcomed, positive or scared? First impressions will stick in the minds of visitors for years to come.Interior branding is one of the most well known ways to make sure people know that they ‘have arrived’ in your world. Give them the wow factor impression mixed with that amazing feeling of brand confidence to make it easier to get the results you want. Whether that be retaining the best staff, generating leads, education or communicating why you are head and shoulders above your competitors. This maybe an area you need to improve on, but like many, you are not sure where to start. Here are 3 areas to look at to get you on the road to creating the right impression.
1. Do I have a budget for this?
You need a budget of some description. As a rule of thumb, the bigger the budget the bigger and more creative you can be and more of an impact you can make. That doesn’t mean you can’t make an impact on a tight budget, it just means there will be material/product limitations.

2. Where are the key blank walls/spaces

It’s a really good idea to walk around your building with a fresh pair of eyes. Walk in the entrance and around your building with the eyes of a visitor or prospective client. How do you feel when you walk into the different spaces? Could you be in any building in the world or is there no mistaking that you are in YOUR office space? Look around and see what wall space is available to you. If you want a true opinion, ask someone who hasn’t visited your building to to the walk.

3. Measure up

Take measurements of the spaces you have available. When it is the right time for you to take the next step, you can hand these measurements over to the company of your choosing. This will make it easier to provide quotes and material prices within the budget you have provided.
